"The Amazon’ is very similar to the full length: a spacey, vaguely folkish psychedelic trip that sounds like it belongs on the soundtrack to a sci-fi flick accompanying shots of a spaceship trundling along past a binary star system or a nebula. Among The Bones’s half, ‘Pyramid Of Sacrifice,’ is along the same lines, but takes a slightly different approach. Starting off with some purely abstract ambiance, eventually a simple, repeated guitar riff takes over, before that too evaporates buzzing, bubbling noise and another series of repeated guitar notes. This comes highly recommended"
